Letter to P

Hello P,

How are you?  Thank you for correcting my diary!

I am interested in writing in general but I don’t know what to write about specifically.  Writing a journal is a necessity for me but all I write is thoughts and ideas that occur to me.  I feel like I have been writing and brainstorming forever.  What would you suggest for me to do with my writing?  Is it possible for me to be more creative about it?

Sincerely,

N

THE INVITATION

Hallo everyone from the German class,

How is it going?  Are you having a good time this holiday season?  The weather is quite crazy recently, and I just recovered from having a sore throat.

Thanks for having us in class, Mr. D!  And how is everyone enjoying the class?  We have had 8 lessons already!  Although I have not attended every class, I really think everyone in the class is working hard.  German is quite frustrating for a person like me,  whose brain is not working most of the time.  However, with the relaxing learning environment the class has created, learning has become more enjoyable.

Since we have not much chance to get to know each other, I would like to invite everyone to a New Year’s party. The party will be held on Sunday, January 13th, at 11:30 a.m., at The Premium.  The Premium is an all-you-can-eat buffect restaurant in Umeda.  The date can be easily changed if a lot of people can’t attend on the 13th.  Peopel who are interested in attending the party are welcomed to let me know when they are available.  The price for the buffet for 3 hours is 3,500 yen per people.

I really think we are in a fun class and we have much to learn about each other through our studies in German!  Please let me know if you are coming to the party by December 31th.  I am looking forward to hearing from you and I hope to see you at the New Year’s Party!

Sincerely,

J

dream of tsunami

IMG_1813
N watches “The Inconvenient Truth” on DVD.

N’s dream:  She is with two vistors on a small island, and is taking them to her friend’s place.  The friend lives in an apartment mansion on the top of a mountain.  They arrive there and are chatting quite merrily in the living room.  Then all of a sudden, a furious storm comes with a big tsunami.  They panick so badly.  “We’re gonna die!” they shouted.  The gigantic waves do not go up to the mountain top, and N and the other three people are saved by the high ground.  But everything below them is destroyed.  The storm slowly fades away, and the waves suddenly comes to a stop, the sea looks like it just freezes.  The four of them feel relieved, but also puzzled as they see the sight in front of them:  a frozen sea, as black as the color of petroleum…

goal in 2 years

N is feeling really cold right now. She is so cold that she can barely feel her hands.  N looks sleepy, but she still needs to do the laundry before she can go to bed.

N’s piano lesson today:  K says that her goal is to go travel to Europe in 2 years.   N’s goal is to pass her exam next year, but she worries that she won’t pass.  N images that she passes the exam and is proud of herself.

N starts to do her laundry.
